How do I get baptized?
- Refer to the above baptism schedule.
- Adults sign up by completing the online registration form. Students in K-5th grade should submit a KidCity baptism registration form found here. Middle school students should contact Chris Hankins and high school students should contact Donnie Peters.
- Baptisms for adults
include sharing their testimony in a short
video interview which will be shown to the congregation as part of baptism celebrations. And we promise to make it as easy (and painless!) as possible by having prepared questions for you to answer during the taping and by coaching you through the process as much as is needed. The 1-2 minute video will be shown during the
service on the day of your baptism and will allow our Hope family to rejoice with you during this important event. Baptism is a public profession
of your faith and showing a video of your testimony allows you to share
your story in a concise and powerful way with the congregation.
- When you register for baptism, you will receive information
via e-mail about the logistics for the day of your baptism as
well as information regarding the video interview process
and scheduling.
What should I wear?
Women should wear shorts and a dark colored top with a swimsuit underneath. Men should wear a swimsuit or shorts and a shirt. A staff member may be taking photos or filming the event so be sure you're comfortable with the clothes you choose to wear. Bring the following with you on the day of baptism:
- A change of clothes
- Two towels
- A plastic bag for your wet clothes
