Press Release
May 23, 2006
Raleigh, NC – Coming to Hope Community Church on Friday, June 2, from Nashville, TN, is 20-year comedy vet Jeff Allen. Allen will present two identical comedy shows at 7:00 & 9:00 PM in Hope’s 1,500-seat auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Hope Community Church is located at 821 Buck Jones Road in southwest Raleigh.
At home with secular, religious, and combined audiences, Jeff Allen has been doing comedy for over 20 years and his work has been seen on every cable comedy show in the U.S. including Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and VH1’s Standup Spotlight. His one-hour special, Happy Wife, Happy Life aired on the Odyssey channel and Family Net. He is a regular on the Grand Ole Opry and was a featured comedian at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the Montreal Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival, the most prestigious comedy venues in the world.
With his clean, wholesome brand of laugh-out-loud humor, he brings down the house at a casino in Vegas and then brings it down again in a large church doing the exact same act. Allen explains, “Funny is funny. Clean humor, if it’s good, works anywhere. I don’t change a word.”
