Fall Festival 2004: Family-friendly & Open to Public

RALEIGH/CARY -- Hope Community Church (HCC) will offer a Fall Family Fun Festival on October 31 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Currently meeting at Grace Christian School in southwest Raleigh, HCC will hold the fall festival in the school’s gymnasium and on the grounds surrounding the school. Admission is $1 per person with a $5 maximum per family. Children are asked to attend in friendly costumes.

Following the enthusiastic response to last year’s festival, the 2004 Fall Festival continues to offer families a fun, safe alternative to the typical Halloween night activities. The festivities will include:

Outside:

  • Hayrides
  • Rat Race Obstacle Course
  • Tiger Bounce
  • Dunk Tank

Inside:

  • Games
  • Concessions & Dinner plates ($2 per plate with drink)
  • Chili-Cook off
  • Costume Contests
  • Cake Walk
  • Face Painting/Tattoos
  • Jugglers
  • Unique “voting” booth to coincide with presidential elections (fun, non-partisan activity)

In addition, each child will leave with collected treats after “trick or treating” their way through the various booths and activities while parents can rest assured that it will be a “peanut-free” environment. “We realize this is a relevant concern for families with children allergic to the peanuts found in many candies,” says Laura Lee, director of HCC’s children’s programs. “We’ve decided to make it a peanut-free zone where everyone can just relax, have a good time, and enjoy the activities and candy give-aways without concern.”

Founded in 1994 by Pastor Mike Lee and his wife, Laura, Hope Community Church (HCC) is located in southwest Raleigh near the Cary Crossroads Shopping Center. With over 2,000 in weekly attendance, HCC’s unique vision includes ministering through the arts, media, and culturally-relevant teaching.
