Week Two: How God transforms marriage
Many of us in our small groups at Hope are not married. Even so, the subject of marriage touches each of our lives and these passages on marriage help us to know God more deeply and love those closest to us more like Jesus.
Every marriage needs help, but God promises to help any marriage that commits to following Him through hard things.
What is the most memorable date you’ve ever been on? If you are married, you could also share the story of how you began your relationship with your spouse.
What is one truth or story from this weekend’s sermon on marriage that stood out to you?
How have you found “patience” and “not keeping a record of wrongs” to be important dynamics in your marriage or closest relationships?
Are there are any areas in your marriage or life where you “feel weary in doing good” right now? How does God’s promise that you will “reap a harvest if you don’t give up” make a difference to you?
This week, what is one way you can show more patience with those closest to you? Spend some time praying for perseverance, patience and hope in your relationships.
