Over the course of King David’s long, crazy life, he made plenty of mistakes—many of which ended in disaster. But by the end of his life, he finally learned to trust God, no matter what the circumstances.

In this series, we’re taking a look at a few different episodes from David’s life, including some lesser known stories, in order to examine that process of developing wisdom.

During the time of David, the central place of worship was the Tabernacle, which housed the Ark of the Covenant

God gave specific instructions for how to carry the Ark, and that’s where David ran into trouble (2 Samuel 6:6)

Why did the details of moving the Ark matter if it reached its destination?

Two thoughts about this story:

  • The more obedient we are in our relationship with God, the freer we will be (John 8:32)
  • The freer you are in your relationship with God, the more confident you become
