Week Six – Grace of the Cross | April 8/9, 2017
Imagine you have an outstanding debt. There’s no way you’ll be able to pay it on your own. Suddenly, someone comes along and cancels it. How would you feel? What’s your response? Jesus’ last early act is like that. Learn more this weekend.
Jesus’ death on the cross is the single most important event in history.
Jesus’ purpose in becoming human was to fix the brokenness of humanity.
Jesus accomplished these six things when He died on the cross:
- Removed our sin and guilt
- Removed God’s wrath
- Reconciled us to God
- Provided our redemption
- Defeated satan
- Offers you life
At the cross – we trade guilt for grace.
