It may only be six verses – but it’s one of the most recited and well-known chapters in the entire Bible. Psalm 23 is all about how God, our good Shepherd, wants to take care of us. In our fall series on Psalm 23, learn how live in the goodness of God.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack for nothing.

Three reasons why we’re under obligation to recognize God’s ownership:

  • We’ve been created as the object of God’s affection
  • We’ve been purchased with an incredible price
  • The Good Shepherd directs us

The moment that God becomes our Shepherd, He begins to lead us. And when He leads us, three things happen:

  • He directs us
  • He protects us
  • He inspects us

Characteristics of sheep:

  • They are sensitive
  • They are obedient
  • They are confident and secure

Today’s question is: “Are you a sheep?”
