Main Idea
When I love Jesus more than everything else, I’ll love everything else more.

What is the longest time you’ve spent “binge-watching” a show? Playing video games? Surfing YouTube? (Be honest, this is a safe place!)

Gluttony is rooted in our priorities and our sense of control. What would the people who know you best say you prioritize?

When life feels out of control, to whom or what do you turn?

What does the Bible say?
Read 1 Corinthians 6:9-20.

Your body is where God lives – how does that impact your view of how to use it?

Your body isn’t yours – what area are you controlling that you need to release?

Your body has a purpose – how are you currently or how could you start using your life for God?

Apply the message
If you say God is in your life but He isn’t first in your life, then He isn’t truly in your life. He won’t accept anything other than first. How will you give Him the right place this week?

This month in KidCity, even children at Hope are learning the value of self-control, which is critical to battling gluttony. Identify one area of your life where you need to practice self-control and ask someone in your group to hold you accountable this week.
