Sharing willing means truthfully sharing your story about how your relationship with Jesus began.
Which is harder for you to embrace and why; loving people like Jesus or telling people about Jesus?
As followers of Jesus, God often puts situations and circumstances in our path which give us an opportunity to share our faith. When is a time when you felt God prompting you to share and what was the result?
What does the Bible say?
Read Acts 1:4-8
In the message, there were several examples of witnesses given, including this scripture passage. What do you think Jesus’ command to “be a witness” looks like in our culture and context today?
Apply the message
Read aloud the following two passages of scripture:
1 Peter 3:15, “… Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, “…brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith.”
As a small group, take some time to talk about someone in your life that God has given you to reach. What next step are you going to take?
Take this opportunity to close in prayer and pray that God would continue to reveal the ways He has provided you and this group to be a witness.
