Rooted in the Word. Communities on Mission.
Our vision is for our communities and all the world to know the love of God and to experience the life that Jesus came to make available. Each of us has been called to go and make disciples, but in order to do that well, we must be rooted in the Word, engaged in community, and focused on the mission.
Be Part of the Experience.
Rooted is an 11-week group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose.
Together, in a group of 10-15 people, you’ll explore Scripture, engage in prayer, serve in your community, share stories, and practice rhythms that are essential to a healthy spiritual life. All of these elements were characteristic of the very first church we see in Acts 2.
If you are unable to be part of Rooted for any reason, visit our Next Steps page for other ways to connect.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rooted?
Rooted is an 11-week group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose.
Together, in a group of 10-15 people, you’ll explore Scripture, engage in prayer, serve in your community, share stories, and practice rhythms that are essential to a healthy spiritual life. All of these elements were characteristic of the very first church we see in Acts 2.
Why should I sign up for Rooted?
Don’t go through Rooted for us. Go through it for yourself! Through Rooted you will build community and establish essential rhythms for a healthy spiritual life. They say it takes 3 weeks to make a habit stick, right? Rooted gives you 4x that amount of time to practice both at home and in community with others.
How do I register?
The easiest way to register is through the Hope app. Registration links will also be posted to this page. When registration is full, we will make a waitlist link available so you’ll be notified as soon as registration is open again.
Download the App: App Store / Google Play
What's the cost?
Rooted costs $40/person which covers your book and costs associated with the final celebration. We do not want cost to limit anyone’s ability to participate in Rooted—if you need help covering the cost, please email rooted@gethope.net.
Why do I have to pay for discipleship?
The cost of Rooted covers materials like participant books, leader guides, and some of the
resources that will make this one of the most meaningful experiences in your life as a disciple of
Jesus. We strongly believe you won’t regret the investment. With that said, if cost is an obstacle for you, please let us know if we can provide assistance through a scholarship. We do not want you to miss out on the opportunity. Contact rooted@gethope.net.
Can I build a group with people I know?
Absolutely. You can build a group from your existing community group, serve team or other. If you are taking Rooted as a group, you will have the opportunity to list your Community Group Leader on your registration.
Where will my Rooted group meet?
Rooted is being offered at the Apex and Raleigh campuses. Serve experiences will take place in the community, but all other gatherings will take place at the campus where you signed up.
(Note: You are welcome to register for Rooted at either campus, regardless of where you typically attend.)
Is childcare available?
Childcare will not be offered on site, but we may offer a childcare reimbursement in cases
where childcare costs would prohibit participation. Please email rooted@gethope.net for questions related to financial assistance or reimbursement. If you are taking Rooted with a group, consider splitting up (some of you in the spring and others in the fall) so that childcare can be covered among you.
What if I cannot make all 11 weeks?
Becoming rooted in our faith takes consistency. To get the most out of the experience, it’s worth making every effort not to miss any of it. We know life happens though, so we recommend that you not miss more than 2 gatherings.
How will my Rooted group be chosen?
If you are not part of an existing group, you would be grouped based on geographical location. The hope is that proximity to those in your group will encourage lasting connection beyond the Rooted experience.
Is there an age limit for Rooted?
Yes. Participants must be in high school or older. Parents can register for the same session of Rooted as their student, but students will break out into separate table discussions for meaningful and age-appropriate discussion.
What if registration is closed?
If registration is closed, join the waitlist to be notified as soon as it’s available again. If you’re looking for connection sooner than the next session of Rooted, we suggest joining a serve team. Download the Hope app and/or subscribe to your campus enews to keep up to date on other opportunities to connect—such as men’s or women’s events. For more info on ways to connect, visit gethope.net/next.
Is Rooted different from a community group?
Rooted is an experience. A community group is a group of people who are intentionally doing life together to best experience the life that Jesus came to make available. For those who are not yet in a community group, Rooted is the on-ramp to get into one.
When will I get my book?
You will receive your book when you gather for week one of Rooted.
Rooted Series
VISION: Deep Roots | Week 1
January 4, 2026—What if the weight you feel is not because life is too heavy, but because your roots have not gone deep enough? This Vision message explores how spiritual drift happens and why lasting change comes from seeing Jesus more clearly, not trying harder. As we look ahead, we are committing to a church and a people rooted in God’s Word and formed for life on mission. If you are longing for steadiness, purpose, and a faith that lasts beyond the moment, this message is for you.
Rooted in the Word | Week 2
January 11, 2026—Storms don’t create roots—they reveal them. This message challenges you to ask: What am I really grounded in? Through powerful stories and Scripture, you’ll discover how the Word of God can move from your bookshelf into your life, shaping how you handle pressure, grow in faith, and bear lasting fruit. Are you ready to see what your roots are really holding?
Rooted in Prayer | Week 3
January 18, 2026—Roots grow where you can’t see them. So does real prayer. This message looks at how Jesus invites us into a kind of prayer that doesn’t always change our circumstances first, but always works on our hearts. What if the transformation you’re looking for is happening underground?
Mission Minded | Week 4
January 25, 2026—Your mission is not waiting on better circumstances. It is waiting on your yes.
In this weeks message, we discover how God uses ordinary moments, uncomfortable places, and unexpected people to build His Kingdom. When we are rooted in the Word, we are never off mission. The question is not where God is sending you, but whether you are paying attention.
Rooted: Built to Last | Week 5
February 1, 2026—Faith that lasts doesn’t happen by accident. Join Jason, Ayren, and Matt in our series close, as they unpack what it means to be rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in community and why those roots matter more than ever. This conversation might just change the way you live your faith.
